The architect of the Hitler Youth was a law student from Plauen, Saxony by the name of Kurt Gruber but the leader was a gentleman by the name of Baldur von Schirach.
The Word of God says in Proverbs 22:6 to “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old the he will not depart from it.”
That passage of scripture was meant for the good of the child but in the Nazi scenario it would be for the bad of the child.
The youth group catered to 10 to 18 year olds and there were seperate groups for boys and girls.
The boys group would have special military training to teach them how to march, throw grenades, read maps, shoot pistols, gas defence, dig trenches, climbing under barbed fences. etc.
The girls training consisted of training on how to be a good housewife and mother.
Adolf Hitler was quoted saying:
“My program for educating youth is hard. Weakness must be hammered away…… I want a brutal, domineering, fearless, cruel youth. Youth must be all that. It must bear pain. There must be nothing weak and gentle about it….That is how I will create the New Order.” – Adolf Hitler, 1933.
In April 1929, the Hitler’s Youth was declared the only official youth group of the Nazi Party and all other youth groups would eventually be dissolved completely by 1936.
Propoganda fliers, advertisements and marches along with pressure from youths that had already become disciples of the youth group made resistance difficult.
There were also some catchy, defiant and ungodly children sing-a-longs such as this one:
We are the joyous Hitler youth,
We do not need any Christian virtue
Our leader is our savior
The Pope and Rabbi shall be gone
We want to be pagans once again.”
– Song sung by Hitler youth
Any parents that were caught or reported resisting this movement were subject to heavy prison sentences.
Parents were also were threatened their chlildren would be placed in orphanages if they were not enrolled in Hitler’s youth.
The result of threats and laws caused Hitler’s youth to grow to over 7 million members and the largest youth group in the world.
At the beginning of World War II Hitler’s youth totaled close to 9 million strong.
In 1943 the youth were pulled into active duty because of Hitler’s overmatched army against the Western allies and steadily losing ground
The fearless youth would fight unto death and payed no regard to being outnumbered and their brains had been branded with bringing Hitler to power.
Within the first month of battle over half of the youth had been knocked out of action and unable to fight and 20% had been killed.
By 1945 of the almost 9 million youth devoted to Hitler there were only 455 left and one tank which were forced to surrender.
Kingdoms rise and Kingdoms fall.
Hitler formed this youth movement from his belief that:
“He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.”
